What happens to the answers you send with the register-interest form, in plain terms. The short version: we use them only to decide where to open exit nodes and to write to you about opwan; they count once you confirm your address by email; we keep them until 12 months after launch; and you can have them deleted at any time.

Who is responsible
Solutions Opero Inc., Montréal, Québec, Canada, which makes opwan. For any question or request about your personal information, write to [email protected].
What we collect
What you type or choose in the form:
- your email address, the country you're in, and the exit cities you choose (including any city you add)
- if you give them: your region or city, the speed and monthly data you'd want, how many addresses, your current connection and your ISP's name, the services you'd run, your router or system, and your note
- whether you want the launch email
When you confirm your address: the time you did.
And, with each answer, set by your browser and Cloudflare:
- your browser's user agent (its name and version)
- the country Cloudflare sees your connection coming from
- a salted one-way hash of your IP address, to notice repeated sends. We don't keep the address itself, and the hash can't be turned back into it.
- for each confirmation email we send: when, and salted hashes of your email address and IP address, kept 24 hours to limit how many we send
No cookies. The site runs no analytics and loads nothing from other sites except the anti-bot check below.
Why
Only to confirm that the address is yours, measure interest in opwan, decide where to open its exit nodes and how to size and price them, and write to you about opwan: the launch email if you ticked the box, or a question about your answers. We don't sell your answers, share them for marketing, or use them for anything else.
Where it is kept
In a Cloudflare D1 database that only Opero can read. Cloudflare may store and process it outside Québec and Canada.
The anti-bot check is Cloudflare Turnstile. It loads from challenges.cloudflare.com when you reach the form, and Cloudflare reads your IP address and browser signals to tell people from bots.
The confirmation email is sent through Resend, our email provider, which receives your email address to deliver it and may process it in the United States. When you confirm, Opero's own mailbox may receive a copy of your answers, without your email address, also through Resend.
How long
Until 12 months after opwan launches, or until you ask us to delete your answers, whichever comes first. If opwan doesn't go ahead, we delete them then. If you don't confirm, your answers stay unconfirmed and aren't counted; they're kept under the same rule and you can ask us to delete them anytime. Sending the form again with the same email address replaces your earlier answers, and gets you a new link if the last one expired.
Your rights
You can ask to see your answers, correct them, have them deleted, or withdraw your consent, at any time, by writing to [email protected] from the address you registered. We answer within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
